Types of Orthotics:
Accommodative & Functional

Accommodative orthotics are made of more flexible or softer materials like foam and cork. They provide cushion, support, and biomechanical control. These orthotics are preferred for those with sensitive feet, minor balance issues, diabetics, and pressure related pain.

Functional orthotics are made of firmer, semi-rigid and rigid materials like carbon fiber, graphite, or plastic. They allow for maximal control of abnormal foot motion to improve biomechanical alignment. These orthotics are preferred for enhanced stability, performance support, injury prevention, or severe gait abnormalities.
